Scan quality check

Are you sure you digitized
those documents correctly?

Scanning the boxes is the easy part. Knowing that every page came out readable is the hard part. This is one archive box of 2,833 pages after Veryfi checked each page for OCR confidence, blur, DPI, and blank pages. The scanner had already marked the whole box complete.

Box_09-28-2026 55 files Scanner status: Complete
Pages2,833across 54 files
Errors1of 55 files
DPI Range
2503772% 150816% 300612%
45 files below 300 DPI
Blank Pages0in 0 of 54 files
Low OCR166in 18 of 54 files
Blur196in 9 of 54 files

The scanner said complete. In this one box, 166 pages fall below the OCR confidence threshold, 196 pages are blurry, 45 files were scanned below 300 DPI, and one file will not open. Now multiply that by every box in the archive.

Good news: we have a solution for you.

Veryfi runs your scanners, files every PDF into its folder, and scores every page, so your team knows which files are ready and which need a rescan before anyone opens them.

Back-office automation

From boxes of paper
to pages you can trust.

Veryfi’s multifunction printer and scanner driver runs your scanners at full speed, turning archive boxes into clear, accurate PDFs. Veryfi files every PDF into its folder, then checks each page for OCR confidence, blur, DPI, color, edge bleed, and blank pages, so your team sees which files are ready and which need a rescan before anyone opens them.

Rubbish in, rubbish out

Capture Digitization Solutions

Every OCR score, extraction, and audit downstream is only as good as the image it starts from. Veryfi checks pages at the source. A custom Veryfi driver puts your industrial scanners under our control, and Veryfi Lens brings the same AI vision to any phone. Blurry, skewed, blank, and glare-covered pages are fixed or recaptured before they reach your team, and both feed the same Veryfi review queue.

Clean in, clean out

Data is the New Oil

Once a page passes capture, Veryfi turns it into three files. You get a searchable PDF for the record, a Markdown version for search and AI, and structured JSON for your software. Keep them in the Veryfi Vault, or push them to your CRM, ERP, and other systems through our API, webhooks, or connectors.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is back-office document digitization?

It means turning paper records like contracts, invoices, HR files and vendor statements into searchable digital files. Veryfi goes past scanning. It files every PDF into the right folder, scores every page for quality, and turns each document into a searchable PDF, Markdown, and structured JSON your systems can use.

  • How is Veryfi different from a regular scanning service?

A scanner or scanning vendor tells you a box is “complete.” It doesn’t tell you whether every page can be read. Veryfi checks each page for OCR confidence, blur, DPI, color, edge bleed and blank pages. Your team sees which files are ready and which need a rescan before anyone opens them.

  • Does Veryfi work with the scanners we already have?

Yes. Veryfi compiles a custom driver for your multifunction printers and industrial scanners, so Veryfi runs the scanner directly. Pages are straightened, blank pages are dropped, and blurry pages are re-fed before they’re filed.

  • What quality checks does Veryfi run on each page?

Every page is scored for OCR confidence, blur, resolution (DPI), color mode, edge bleed (text cut off at the edges) and blank pages. Results are rolled up per file and per box, so you can filter straight to the pages that need attention.

  • What happens to pages that fail a quality check?

At capture, blurry pages are re-fed and skewed pages are straightened automatically. After capture, any page below your thresholds is flagged in the Veryfi Vault, so your team rescans only those pages instead of the whole box.

  • What file formats do we get?

You get three outputs for every document: a searchable PDF/A for the record, Markdown for search and AI tools, and structured JSON with fields and line items for your software.

  • Can Veryfi send digitized documents to our existing systems?

Yes. Documents can stay in the Veryfi Vault or be sent to your ERP, AP, CRM, data warehouse, cloud storage or AI agents through the Veryfi API, webhooks or connectors. A custom solution can also be developed for your specialized systems.

  • What types of documents can Veryfi digitize?

Any back-office paper: contracts, NDAs, leases, invoices, purchase orders, vendor statements, receipts, HR and employee files, and legal records. Veryfi pulls structured data from common financial documents and makes everything else searchable.

  • Is our data secure?

Veryfi is SOC 2 Type II certified and built for regulated industries, with encryption in transit and at rest. Read more on Security
