    From October 16 to December 16, 2025, Yupi launched one of their largest nationwide consumer promotions in Colombia: “¿Quién pidió premios?”.

    The campaign aimed to drive sales across participating snack SKUs while giving customers instant digital rewards directly in their wallets. Over the 62 day promotion, Yupi distributed 30,020 prizes, including 30,000 daily Nequi top ups and 20 additional ranking based grand prizes.

    To execute this securely at national scale, Yupi partnered with Veryfi to deploy an end to end WhatsApp promotion infrastructure powered by intelligent document processing, OCR validation, and multilayer antifraud controls.

    The Objective: Scale a National Retail Promotion Without Manual Review

    National consumer promotions typically face three major risks:

    1. Fraudulent or duplicate submissions

    To accomodate this event, Yupi needed a system that could validate packaging authenticity in real time, assign daily rewards chronologically accurately, and distribute digital incentives instantly through Nequi.

    Importantly, the official rules assign daily prizes strictly in chronological order of valid registrations.

    This meant validation speed and accuracy were critical.

    Manual verification simply would not scale across tens of thousands of submissions.

    The Promotion Mechanics: From Purchase to Instant Reward

    To participate, the campaign requires adults with Colombian citizenship and an active Nequi account linked to their mobile number could participate.

    Here is how the experience worked in practice:

    Consumers purchased two participating Yupi products featuring the promotional strip. After scanning the QR code on the packaging, the system direct them to a WhatsApp ChatBot.

    Participants then:

    • Submitted two photos of their product packages
    • Registered two unique factory codes
    • Received a unique alphanumeric code generated by the bot
    • Handwrote the bot generated code next to the factory code
    • Resubmitted the images for final validation

    Verify Lens verified authenticity exclusively, ensuring:

    • Factory codes were legitimate
    • Codes had not been previously used
    • Images were authentic and compliant
    • Submissions followed official process

    Any attempt to participate outside authorized channels or through alternative capture mechanisms could result in disqualification.

    This multilayer validation process reduced image reuse, duplicate code submissions, and automated fraud attempts.

    Daily Instant Rewards With Automated Caps

    The promotion distributed 30,000 Nequi top ups valued at COP $10,000 each, allocated daily according to a schedule.

    Prizes were:

    • Limited per day
    • Assigned automatically in order of valid registration
    • Not based on chance
    • Capped once daily limits were reached

    Each participant could win only one daily top up during the campaign period but could continue submitting valid codes to climb the leaderboard.

    Beyond daily instant rewards, the campaign also included 20 additional ranking prizes awarded on December 16, 2025

    The top 20 participants with the highest number of valid codes received Nequi reloads ranging from:
